Merge PDF Files

Combine two or more PDFs into one file, in the order you choose.

Combine PDF files into one document

Merging is the quickest way to turn scattered files into one document: a contract and its annexes, several receipts for an expense claim, or report chapters that were exported separately. Foldr copies every page of each file, in the order shown in the list, into a new PDF.

Order matters more than people expect. After you add your files, use the up and down arrows next to each file to set the sequence before you press Merge PDF. The result is saved as merged.pdf.

How to use Merge PDF

Limitations to know about

  • Password-protected or damaged PDFs are rejected, and the message names the file.
  • Pages are copied as they are, but bookmarks and interactive form behaviour may not carry over to the merged file.
  • Very large files depend on your device's memory. If the tab becomes slow, merge in smaller batches.

Common uses

  • Join a signed contract with its attachments before emailing it.
  • Combine receipts or invoices into one file for an expense report.
  • Put chapters or exported sections back together in one document.

Frequently asked questions

How do I merge PDF files into one?

Add your PDFs, arrange them with the arrow buttons, press Merge PDF and download merged.pdf.

Can I change the order of the files before merging?

Yes. Use the up and down arrows beside each file. The pages inside each file keep their own order. To rearrange individual pages afterwards, use Organize PDF.

Is there a limit on the number or size of files?

Foldr does not set a fixed limit. Because everything runs on your device, the practical limit is your device's memory and speed.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. The files are read and combined by your browser on your own device.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

No. Foldr cannot open encrypted PDFs and will show an error naming the file. Remove the password in the app that created the file first.
