Text content from HTML, Markdown and TXT files
This tool reads a .html, .htm, .md or .txt file and writes its text into a paginated A4 PDF. For HTML files, scripts and styles are removed and the visible text is kept, with line breaks at paragraphs, list items, table rows and headings.
It's handy for quickly archiving notes, README files, logs or saved web pages as text. It does not render web pages: CSS, images, links and layout are not reproduced, and Markdown is not formatted, so the symbols stay as typed.

Frequently asked questions
Does this render my web page exactly as in a browser?
No. It extracts the visible text only. Use your browser's Print to PDF if you need the page's appearance.
Is Markdown formatted in the PDF?
No. Markdown is treated as plain text, so symbols such as # and * stay as typed.
What happens to scripts and styles in an HTML file?
They are removed. Only the visible text of the page body is converted.
Can I convert text in other languages?
The PDF uses a standard Latin font. Characters outside that set are replaced with a question mark.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is read and converted in your browser.
